Oconee County, SC (November 11, 2018) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to a chain-reaction crash that took place.

Oconee County, SC (November 11, 2018) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to a chain-reaction crash that took place in Oconee County and blocked the lanes for hours. The accident took place around 9:29 a.m. on Saturday, November 10.

Those involved said that the accident, which involved a semi-truck, was caused by another accident between two small vehicles. This led to a chain-reaction crash.

Oconee Fire Officials reported that traffic was stopped all the way up to Exit 12 and it would be quite some time before the roads were cleared. Injuries were reported and multiple people were taken from the scene but, at this time, all parties are expected to be okay.
