Oconee County, SC (November 28, 2018) – On Tuesday evening, a toddler was run over by a pickup truck in a pedestrian accident. The father of the child had been driving the truck, according to the coroner.

The child’s father had arrived home from work around 5:30 p.m. and was trying to back up his pickup truck to park it in the driveway when the child suddenly ran out of the home on Beulah Land Drive. He was struck by the front passenger side tire of the vehicle.

The child died at the scene of the accident due to a severe head injury. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is working on their investigation of the accident at this time.
