Savannah, GA (November 27, 2018) – A Savannah Police car was involved in a car accident on Interstate 16 this past week that led to injuries and a wide variety of damages to the vehicle.

Police say that the accident took place on Interstate 16 east and Dean Forest Road. At this time, police are not sure how many vehicles are involved, just that one of the vehicles was a police cruiser. The police vehicle was towed from the scene with damage to the rear as if it was struck from behind by another vehicle who was following too closely.

An officer responded to the scene and said that injured parties did not have life-threatening injuries and are expected to recover. At this time, they continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
